HISTORY

Topps, the world’s most prolific makers of trading cards, first launched Wacky Packages stickers in 1967.  In a culture that was questioning authority and tradition, Wacky Packages parodied everyday consumer products found in households everywhere, as collectible stickers.  These hilarious parodies of existing products brought grins to the face of boys and girls alike, and chagrin to their parents and teachers.

With outrageous art done by some of the best-known cartoonists of the day, including future Pulitzer Prize winner Art Spiegelman, Wacky Packages have been a rite of passage – collected by generations of wise-cracking kids.  Wacky Packages stickers have been offered at retail in the 1960’s, 1970’s, 1980’s and ‘90’s and throughout the 2000’s.
